Victorian workshops at St Johns Museum.These immersive workshops give pupils a memorable experience of Victorian life. Attend the Victorian classroom or get hands-on in the laundry. Choose from different sessions to build your own day visit.


Digital Composition Workshop Create and compose a soundscape of Market Hall Museum. Explore the sounds of the museum using objects and your own creativity. Links to the I.T and Music curriculum.

Loans Boxes. Designed to support your teaching by bringing historic artefacts into the classroom.  Use them to bring history to the hands of your students or as inspiration for art and design projects. Topics range from Fossils to British Wildlife and Victorian childhood to the 1930s.

Toys and Games.  Delivered at St Johns Museum or in your classroom. Play with a wide range of toys and discover what was different about toys in the past. How did they work and what were they made from?

Warwick the Bear and Friends: A Natural History Adventure An interactive storytelling workshop. Based at Priory House Warwick and including a nature trail around nearby Priory Park.  Bring a packed lunch, if you like, and extend your day with an optional free teacher led trail of Market Hall Museum.

Victorian Christmas Celebrate Christmas as the Victorians would have. Join the cook in the kitchen to make the Plum pudding and make a wish as you stir it. Miss Roach is waiting for you in the schoolroom and make some Victorian crafts to take home.


Ice Creams and Away Days An immersive day experience at St Johns House museum exploring Victorian summer traditions. Get hands on and make ice cream and lemonade with the cook in the kitchen at St Johns. Experience a Victorian school lesson with the school Marm Miss Roach and learn about the seaside tradition of Punch and Judy.
