Warwickshire’s Natural and Historic Environment

Windmill Hill

View from Windmill Hill, Upper Tysoe

The county of Warwickshire is dominated by rural landscapes which form the framework for a range of natural habitats and archaeological sites and the county’s remarkable geodiversity. These assets are recorded and protected by Archaeology Warwickshire, Warwickshire County Council’s Ecological Services and the Historic Environment Record .

Many of the county’s landscapes can be enjoyed within our network of country parks. Warwickshire’s natural history, archaeology and geology is also represented by the collections of the Warwickshire Museum.
