We have a number of volunteers at the County Record Office who are cataloguing the Warwickshire Quarter Sessions Minute Books. These books contain a summary of the judicial and administrative business undertaken in Warwickshire. They began in 1625 and cover a period of some 300 years.
Most of our volunteers had an interest in history before getting involved, but full training is provided.
Some of our volunteers have developed an interest in conservation techniques and work with our senior conservator preserving old documents and maps.
You can also get involved in our work from home – for instance checking entries on Ancestry.
Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator if you would like more information on any of the roles at the CRO.
