Collection Weeks

Our searchroom closes to the public for the first full week of every calendar month. Staff are instead working on opening up collections of records that have been difficult or impossible to use until now. Click here for more information on why we introduced collection weeks.

Our readers’ tea room (including three public PCs with access to a variety of online resources), shop and Priory Books remain open during collection weeks. Our remote services are also unaffected by collection weeks (see our FAQ below for further details).

Check back on this page regularly to discover more about the collections we have been able to open up. To find out when the closure weeks occur, download our handy PDF calendar.
