#WorkingfromHome

#WorkingfromHome

Each week we will showcase a different member of the Heritage and Culture Warwickshire team and find out about how they are working from home. #staysafe#stayhome

We have another instalment in our #WorkingFromHome series for you today. It’s the turn of Warwickshire Bytes Project Archivist Sharon.

My name is Sharon and until recently I was the Archivist on the Warwickshire Bytes project. During the lockdown I will be keeping in touch with our remote volunteers who are busy working on indexing our collection of witness statements from 19th century court cases, and making sure they have plenty of material to keep them occupied. I will be helped, as always, by my two supervisors along with large quantities of tea. As soon as I can see the screen, I will make a start on editing some of the short films put together by our staff featuring interesting stories from the Record Office and Museum collections. When I’m not working I’ll be catching up with all the tasks on my allotment, which is still open for us to garden, so long as we observe the social distance rules. This means none of the usual stops for tea and chats with fellow gardeners, but perhaps I’ll actually be on time with my planting this year. Always looking for the silver lining!
