Documenting coronavirus
We want to support the many local history societies and community groups who, even in these difficult times, will be continuing to document life in their local communities. This is a unique moment in our history which should be recorded as fully as possible.
As we all react to these unprecedented events, we believe it is important that we all take the opportunity to record the responses to the pandemic and the effects it has on our communities and environments. These might be those local businesses which are unable to weather the interruption to the economy, the groups of people who have come together to help their neighbours or the empty streets, wildlife and messages of support appearing in windows.
We have created the following video guides to provide advice on collecting and caring for archival collections. If you have any questions or suggestions for how we can help, please do get in touch. We would also be please to hear from you if you are already collecting, or if you are planning on collecting records relating to Covid-19
