Trace Your Ancestors – Introductory course
Starting on 1 July, these workshops will provide you with a good foundation to trace your family history!
Location: County Record Office, Cape Road, Warwick, CV34 4JS.
The course will run through the basics of how to record and organise your research as well as focusing on historical records, such as civil registration, census returns, parish registers, the records of the parish chest, military sources and the best websites and how to navigate around them. Overall it will provide you with a good foundation to then move on to continue to trace your family history.

The session will be led by a local genealogist Paul Wilkins who started lecturing at Warwick University some years ago. He continues to teach all over the West Midlands and has recently been appointed genealogy tutor for the Warwickshire Adult Education Service. He is involved in many projects including partnerships with the National Trust and the National Memorial Arboretum and he is a feature writer for Who Do You Think You Are Magazine.
