Work Experience with Heritage & Culture Warwickshire
We are now inviting applications for our 2026 Work Experience Programme from local Year 10 & Year 12 students who are interested in a future career in the heritage sector.
Placements will be on the following dates –
- 25th- 27th March 2026
- 2nd – 4th June 2026
- 7th-9th July 2026
These dates are set by our staff availability and resources we cannot offer placements at other times. Our three-day placements provide experience of the following careers -
- Collections Assistant
- Curator
- Community Engagement Officer
- Heritage Learning Officer
- Archive Assistant
- Archivist
- Conservator
Students are invited to complete the application form.
Applicants will be notified of results by Wednesday 28th January 2026
16 years + Summer Volunteering Programme
During the school summer holidays we welcome applications from students who wish to volunteer to support our family events programme. We offer experience of community engagement, family learning & craft activities and events management. This programme is popular with students who are interested in a future career in Community Engagement or Education.

18 years +
Specialist Students 18 years+ are invited to email heritagevolunteering@warwickshire.gov.uk. In the past we have offered placements to a wide variety of students from embroidery to Renaissance cartography. We would love to hear from you and your passion for Warwickshire Heritage.
Please note we do receive a high volume of applications and are unfortunately unable to provide placements for everyone.
