Annual Collections Week closure
The record office will be closed from Monday 19 January 2026 to Friday 23 January 2026 for our annual Collections Week. Saturday opening remains unaffected.

Making an Appointment
There is no need to make an appointment, however, slots are available to book through Eventbrite.
Please be advised that bookings can only be made to view original documents.
If you are unable to visit us in person, please refer to our Copying Services and Enquiries pages.
Registration
Warwickshire County Record Office is now accepting the Archives Card. Full details can be found online, about registering for the Archives Card.
To apply for an Archives Card, you will need to complete the initial registration process prior to your visit. Facilities are available onsite for visitors who are unable to complete the initial registration proper to visiting. Visitors who wish to use our searchroom, but do not have an Archives card, or cannot provide the required ID will be issued with a temporary ticket. CARN tickets will still be accepted until their expiry date.
Document production
Change to document production times
Effective 1 January 2026, document production will pause daily from 12.15pm to 1.15pm.
You do not need to order documents in advance, but you may pre-order up to three items per person for free.

Document production closes at:
- 3.30pm - Wednesdays to Fridays
- 11.30 am on Saturdays
Photography permits
If you intend to photograph documents during your visit, you can purchase a photography permit ahead of time by using one of the links below:
- Daily Photography Permit for £8.50
- Weekly Photography Permit for £15.50
Searchroom regulations
By booking to visit the record office you are agreeing to abide by our searchroom regulations. A copy of our regulations can be provided at reception.
Car parking
We have a small car park available for visitors, including two accessible parking spaces which can be booked by phone or email.
Postal services
Unless otherwise stated or advised any postal correspondence will be dealt with using Royal Mail second class post.
