Workshop outline

Become palaeontologists-in-training and discover the world of Jurassic Warwickshire. Your class will receive a selection of real fossils to handle and explore. Can you use the descriptions to identify the fossils, and figure out what they have in common?

The loans box comes with a full set of supporting information for the class teacher to enable you to prepare the children for their virtual workshop. The virtual session will give your class a virtual tour of the fossils on display at Market Hall Museum, before exploring how fossils are made. The children will be able to test their knowledge of the fossils and ask their burning palaeontology questions.

The loans box also comes with a collection of suggested activities to continue exploring the topic using the loans box and after it has been returned to the museum.
