Workshop outline

This story world adventure is an opportunity for the class to travel to the Crimea in search for local Warwickshire boy, George Waller who at 17 is fighting in the conflict. Children will learn about the conditions in hospitals and the impact that Florence Nightingale had and how she was encouraged and supported by another local Warwickshire family, Charles and Selina Bracebridge.

Addressing the substantive concepts of health, leadership and achievement, this practical outreach session includes many hands-on activities, object investigation, role-play and drama.
