Workshop outline

An opportunity for children to become immersed in the reign of King James I, when tensions between English Protestants and Catholics reached a head in the famous Gunpowder Plot. In this story world adventure the children take part in a desperate chase to catch the plotters as they attempt to start a rebellion across the midlands.

Children will travel through Warwickshire, discovering how places and people in this nationally significant historic event are part of Warwickshire’s local history.

Addressing the substantive concepts of consequence, rebellion and persecution this practical outreach session includes many hands-on activities, object investigation, role-play and drama.
